Common signs you are deficient in Vitamins and minerals.

Vitamins and minerals are essential to human health.But how do you know if you  are getting an adequate amount of them in your diet? since Our body is such a magnificent machine.When things go problematic ,it doesn't really shut off without warning, instead it send us little signals letting us know that something needs to be fixed.All we need is to be smart enough to understand those signals, in this blog I shared some signs and symptoms after that you will have clear idea just looking at your body as to what really your body is deficient and how to fix it easily.

  •     Do your knee and joints of your arm crack more often?
     If yes, then it is clearly a symptom of calcium deficiency.As we know calcium is responsible for strong teeth and bones. 
   You can fix this deficiency with milk and milk products like curd,paneer,cheese and peanut butter, as these all are the best sources of calcium, although the best way to complete this deficiency is to take a pinch of chunna (calcium carbonate) in curd empty stomach regularly for 2-3 months.
  •   Do your gums bleed while brushing and eating or your tongue prone to ulcers and cuts?
       If yes, then your body needs VITAMIN C. With Vitamin C equal to that in 20 oranges Amla is the best way to fulfill the VITAMIN C deficiency .you can consume it in form of juice,powder,pickle,candy or boiled.Some other sources are lemon,guava,orange and capsicum.
  • Do you suffer from peeling skin around nails? or Is your hair dry & rough? or Are you facing premature hairfall?
      If yes, that mean you lack Biotin in your body.Biotin is made by friendly bacteria in gut and imbalance in digestion, leads to biotin deficiency.
Biotin deficiency can be completed by consumption of probiotic foods and most effective way is to have curd on a empty stomach with 1 tsp of jaggery powder mixed with it.Please avoid mixing sugar in curd.
Other sources are pickles and apple cider vinegar.
  • Do you have white spots on your nails?
        If yes , then your body needs Zinc.
Zinc deficiency is very common to peoples who eat sweets made of refined grains like cakes and pastries.
Zinc is most important mineral as it is the main mineral that help in testosterone production in males.Low zinc means low testosterone that means slow beard growth,low muscle mass,fatigue,sexual immaturity etc. and low zinc also have negative effects on Foetus in pregnant women.
So reduce sweets, include dry fruits,sprouts and lentils in your diet.
  • Symptoms of VITAMIN B deficiency.
         1.Do you have cracked corners of heels,blood red eyes, ulcers on lips? 
        that means you have VITAMIN B2 deficiency.
        2.Do you have horizontal lines on nails or your nales turn brown in colour?
          that means you have VITAMIN B1 and B12 deficiency.
        3.Do you have redness around nose,cheeks & forehead ?
          that means you have VITAMIN B6 deficiency.

VITAMIN B deficiency is very common which cause skin ,hair and digestive problems and also causes body pains,anxiety & depression.Major reason of vit. B deficiency is our poor food choices.we should avoid pizza,burger,samosa,pakoda,donut,pastries,chips,kurkure,biscuits,namkeen and chocolates.
then you may ask what else should we eat?
Eat as much as home made food and include sprouts, rest your body can handle.
  • Do you have pale face,white nails,dull lips?
       If yes, then you have low Iron & hemoglobin levels.These two are interlinked for making blood.
simple and most effective way is to start using iron utensils for cooking and for boiling  milk.Some other sources like beetroot,carrot,pomegranate,corn and apples are best to increase hemoglobin level.
  • Do you have uneven nails or poor night vision?
        If yes, then you have VITAMIN A deficiency.this deficiency can be caused by improper function of liver.
That's why even after eating vegetables, some people face Vit. A deficiency as their liver does not have enough bile to break down and absorb Vit. A from vegetables.
Since Vit A is fat soluble, include ghee,oils and butter in your diet.

Vitamins and minerals are essential for smooth and daily life functioning but reality is that people consumes various multivitamin tablets without knowing which vitamin or mineral they lack .
Since small deficiency may lead to major issues.So be aware, don't panic, eat homely food and leave rest to your body because our body is very intelligent machine and for some small deficiencies body can cover itself.
