You are drinking milk the wrong way.

Milk alone is one food which has all the nutrients to nourish your body irrespective of what your age is.It is said that milk provides unique nutrition that can not be derived from any other type of food.However, 99% people drink milk in the wrong way which results in digestion issues,skin allergies, bloating and many stomach problems.
In this blog I want to share with you some reasons that you are drinking milk the wrong way and if you are lactose intolerant or you think that milk doesn't get digested in your body,you will be surprised to know that there is a way to fix that problem too.
Since milk is a product which we get from living animal, it is high in hormones,enzymes and amino acids so care must be taken while consuming it.
 1. Milk with meals.
     Milk is a complete meal in itself.It has all the nutrients required to nourish your body.But many times we drink milk just after the meal, drinking milk just after or before meal is considered as consuming two meals at a time, this puts undue pressure on digestive system and as a result our body neither able to absorbs the nutrients from milk nor from the meal.
So make sure to keep a gap of atleast 2 hours between the meals and milk.
This is also the answer of most common question that can we drink milk after eating fish or chicken? 
Sure you can but you need to keep a gap of atleast 2 hours.

2. Milk with salty foods.
    Do you eat Parantha with milk or chai?Or you like to enjoy namkeen with chai or milk?
If yes, then you are unknowingly damaging your body from within.
According to Ayurveda, milk and salt are incompatible food and acts as slow poison for body.Combining them in anyway will causes problem in body whose ill effects can be seen in form of skin problems.
So make sure to maintain a gap of atleast 1 hour between milk and salty meal.

3. Drinking chilled milk.
  Sometimes especially in summer we tend to drink chilled milk in the form of shakes or cold coffee, however this does not go well with your digestive system.Milk is heavy in nature, drinking it chilled making it more difficult to digest that can lead to gas, bloating and constipation.
It is always recommend to drink warm milk or atleast milk at room temperature.
 
4. Adding sugar in milk.
   Milk is naturally sweet in nature because it contains lactose, which is a type of sugar.
The table sugar that we used in our home is processed with chemicals, adding this chemically refined sugar in milk hinder with the absorption of all the nutrients from the milk.It also makes the milk indigestible.
So if you want to add sweetness in your milk add honey, mishri or jaggery powder.
Now let's answer some basic questions.

 Milk should ideally be consumed warm.It should always be consumed slowly sip by sip in sitting position.
 When to drink milk?
   Milk can be consumed at any time of the day, however best time to drink milk is after sunset.This is because the enzymes required to properly digest the milk are produced by our body in evening.
Almost 80% of milk protein is casein which is ideally digested at night.
Moreover milk is rich in Tryptophan,which induces sleep.
 If you are skinny and want to gain weight in that case buffalo milk is recommended otherwise cow milk is best.
What if you are lactose intolerant?
  According to Ayurveda, All humans are capable in digesting milk, although very first thing we intake as food is milk of our mother.
There could be many reasons why sometimes our body stops accepting milk.
Well here what you can do.
Get milk put it over flame, add a pinch of dry ginger and boil it.Once the milk get boiled put the gas on low and let it further heat for 5 minutes.
Now let it cool a bit, start with drinking 1/8th cup of this milk,then gradually increase the amount to 1 cup in 10 to 15 days depending upon how your body responds.it is a tested way to help your body in accepting milk.
So it is cleared that milk is best when enjoyed alone, however it can be combined with rice,oats, almonds etc.
Loaded with nutrients like proteins, Vit A, Vit.B2, B12, potassium and magnesium .
Milk is said to be one of the most nutritious beverage one can have,  all we need to do is take it in right ways.
